Fillings

There is a small cavity inside the hard tissue that gives life to the tooth through the veins coming from the tip of the root and the nerves (pulpa): it enables teeth to grow and develop and serves as an alarm when decay forms. When decay is not treated early on, it will advance to the pulpa and cause infectious changes, leading to severe pain. At a later stage, acid secreted by the bacteria will kill the pulpa. Emerging toxins will then leak from the root endings and spread to the jawbone…

Bleaching

This is the procedure of removing discoloration of the tooth’s enamel and dentin layer. There are currently two methods available: The first involves a diagnostic visit during which impressions of the upper and lower teeth are taken. This allows for the construction of custom gel holding appliances called bleaching trays. On the second visit, the trays are fitted and the patient is given a special bleaching gel to be applied to the special mould and kept on the teeth for 6-8 hours/day. It is effective and can be done while asleep.
